Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…

Billy Jones returned a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown and Ryan Smith later scooped up a loose ball and returned it 80 yards for a score and the Siuslaw Vikings downed the Brookings-Harbor Bruins 54-12 Friday night.  The win means the Vikings remain the only undefeated team in the 4A ranks, but more importantly it keeps them in a tie for first place in the Far West League with North Bend.  The Bulldogs beat Sutherlin 44-8.  In the other league contest, Douglas beat South Umpqua 53-14.

In Glide, the Wildcats beat the Reedsport Braves 32-nothing.  In Siletz, the Warriors beat the Mapleton Sailors 84-26.

The Oregon Ducks fell to number four in the BCS Rankings, but remain at number two in the AP poll for the fifth straight week.  Oregon State moved up to number seven in both rankings after relying on the defense to power past Utah Saturday night.  The Utes’ four turnovers were the difference in the Beavers’ 21-7 win at Reser Stadium.
