OREGON CITY, Ore. (AP) – The man accused of killing a 21-year-old Gresham woman on her way to work is scheduled to be arraigned today. Jonathan Holt has been moved to Oregon City for the Clackamas County Circuit Court arraignment because police believe Whitney Heichel (HY’-kel) was killed in the county, not Multnomah County where her body was found Friday.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Police are looking for a Portland woman who hasn’t been seen since Friday when she dropped a child off at school but failed to show up at work. KOIN reports the family of Elizabeth Hoppes (HOP’-es) is concerned because she is overdue for in-home dialysis and other needed medical treatment.

NEW YORK (AP) – Japanese transportation equipment company Toyota Industries is buying Fairview, Ore., parts maker Cascade in a deal valued at $759 million. Toyota Industries is a sister company of automaker Toyota Motor Corp. and makes lift trucks, parts for autos and some vehicles for Toyota Motor. Cascade makes lift truck replacement parts.

MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – Medford police are investigating the death of a 58-year-old cab driver whose body was in a field Sunday hours after he was reported missing. Police say William Huson of Talent died of an apparent homicide, and believe he was robbed. Huson last contacted Valley Cab dispatch at about 10:41 Saturday night.
