Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

RENTON, Wash. (AP) – Golden Tate has spent most of this week hearing his name being brought up in debates about whether his block on Dallas’ Sean Lee was legal or not. It apparently was not legal as the Seattle wide receiver was hit with a hefty fine by the NFL. Tate said yesterday that he intends to appeal the fine, but that within the appeal, he wasn’t going to receive clarification on what he should do differently in the future. What the Seahawks hope Tate continues to do is catch passes. Next up for Tate and the Seahawks: a Monday night matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) – There will be a lot of fast dudes on the field at Autzen Stadium tomorrow night. That’s when No. 22 Arizona, with the nonstop no-huddle offense coach Rich Rodriguez helped innovate, takes on No. 3 Oregon and Chip Kelly, the coach who put a rocket booster on RichRod’s original idea. The Wildcats and Ducks are two of college football’s most prolific teams, averaging a combined 100 points and 1,200 yards heading into the game. They’re among the fastest teams in the country, too, with Arizona averaging 93 plays per game and Oregon not far behind at 86.
