Here is the latest Oregon news from The Associated Press

NEWBERG, Ore. (AP) – The Yamhill County sheriff’s office says two men have been found dead in a car that saink upside down in water near Newberg. The Oregonian reports Michael Stephen Randall and Solomon Jennings Davis were last seen leaving a home early Saturday morning.

ALOHA, Ore. (AP) – A man and woman are dead after their motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at Aloha. Washington County deputies say the motorcycle driver was attempting to pass two vehicles in a no-passing zone when he crashed into the oncoming truck. The crash killed 31-year-old Keith Lawson of Aloha. The name of the 24-year-old woman has not yet been released. KGW reports two people in the truck were treated at a hospital.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Five more inmates at Oregon’s prison for women have filed lawsuits accusing staff of sexual abuse. The lawsuits filed last week in Marion County seek $1.1 million for each inmate. A sixth inmate filed a separate suit last month. The Statesman Journal reports that the latest allegations involve a staff member who works in the prison’s kitchen area. Prison officials say the agency has a “zero tolerance” policy for sexual assaults.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) – Idaho liquor officials say border sales are up after a change in the law in Washington state made Idaho booze cheaper. The increase in sales along the Idaho border mirrors the increase seen along the Washington-Oregon border. Oregon reported sales rose 35 percent in June along the border, bringing Oregon $870,000 more than usual.
