ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) – The Clatsop County sheriff’s office says its narcotic team and the Coast Guard searched three fishing vessels at the Warrenton Marina. A small amount of marijuana was found on one boat yesterday and the operator was arrested for boating under the influence. The marina raid was part of an investigation that involved the arrests of five people Tuesday.

TROUTDALE, Ore. (AP) – Troutdale police say they have identified about a dozen of the 30 or 40 teens who rushed into a grocery store Saturday night in a flash mob robbery. Sgt. Steve Bevens told KOIN they likely face jail time for felony crimes and their parents could be charged with failure to supervise.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Benton County deputies say a 16-year-old driver apparently fell asleep when his car collided head-on with another vehicle on Highway 20 in a crash that killed his mother, who was a passenger. The teen and two people in the other car were taken to a hospital in Corvallis.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A dog that was left in a parked car in Portland yesterday died of a heat stroke. A veterinarian at Dove Lewis Animal Hospital tells KGW the pet was left in the car for a relatively short time. The owner didn’t realize the car could get so hot so quick.
