Three rivers casino and resort have named a new CEO to take over operations.  Gaming executive Jerry West will take over management of the casino beginning September 1st.  On Wednesday the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians dismissed the management team of COO and General Manager Mike Rose, Assistant General Manager Bob Garcia and Chief Financial Officer Jim Herman. This is a change that has been in process for some time according to a press release issued by the Gaming review Board of the Confederated Tribes.  The statement says that “earlier this summer” the council had determined it was time to make a change.  The press release also stated that this change in management was not the result of any criminal wrong doing but rather a change in vision for the Casino.  Tribal Chief of Police and Director of the Gaming Commission, Brad Kneaper says the transition has gone very smoothly.  Tribal Chief Warren Brainard says they are looking forward to Mr. West’s leadership and are eager for him to carry out his vision for this resort and the community.
