Emeralds Struggle To Find Winning Ways

August 10, 2017 10:44 pm Sports

It was another disappointing night for the Eugene Emeralds as they struggle to come back to form following last week’s All-Star break.  The Ems committed a couple of errors on the night but it was the offense of the Boise Hawks that staggered the Ems. The Hawks scored 10 runs on eleven hits.  Alex Lange got tagged with the loss for Eugene after pitching just one and two thirds innings and giving up 4 runs.  Eugene scored twice on the night including one in the ninth as they tried to mount a comeback but fell short.  Final score on the night was 10 -2 Hawks.  The final game of the 3 game series is this evening at 6:15.  The Emeralds return home Friday for the first of five games against the Spokane Indians at PK Park in Eugene.
