Extra Innings for the Ems

The Eugene Emeralds lost a nail biter last night.  The Ems, visiting the Tri-City Dust Devils were all tied up after 4 innings in a 1-1 pitching duel.  Matt Swarmer started for the Ems and went  5 and a third innings giving up 5 hits, 2 walks, 6 strike outs and 1 run.  His counterpart for the Dust Devils, Henry Henry, went 7 innings giving up 4 hits, 2 walks, 7 strike outs and a run.  The game remained a 1-1 tie into the bottom of the 10th inning when a wild pitch with two outs scored the dust devils Luiz Almanzar.  The Dust Devils won the game 2-1.  The Series continues this evening at 7:15 in Tri-City.
