Baseball, softball, track and field
Viking softball and baseball teams hit the diamonds in preparation for their seasons that begin this month. The baseball schedule begins March 18th when the Vikings travel to Taft High School in Lincoln City. Softball will be at the Newport Jamboree on the 13th. Both teams open play in the Far West League April 11th against the Marshfield Pirates… the boys at home, the girls in Coos Bay.
Mapleton Track and Field will host the Sailor Relays March 23rd; Siuslaw has the Ice Breaker the same afternoon. The Vikings will also host the Central Coast Invitational coming up April 21st at Hans Petersen Field.
