Vikings fall to the Pirates in Coos Bay
The Marshfield Pirates dominated both ends of a Far West League Basketball double feature last night against the Siuslaw Vikings in Coos Bay. The Lady Pirates came out on top in the opener 79-28; followed by the Marshfield boys and a 50-39 victory.
In other Far West League games for the girls… North Bend demolished South Umpqua 48-22 and Douglas edged Brookings-Harbor 50-43. North Bend continued their sweep of the Lancers 53-39 in the boys’ game. The same with Douglas with a 54-51 win over Brookings-Harbor.
Just a reminder… Viking basketball Friday has been moved to Saturday because of a shortage of officials. The Brookings-Harbor Bruins will be at Siuslaw High School Saturday for a 1:30 tipoff in game one of two. Both games will air on KCFM with the pregame show set for 1:15.
In the Mountain West League last night… the Triangle Lake girls edged the Lady Sailors 45-31… the Laker boys came out on top over Mapleton 82-33
