VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Sven Baertschi scored twice and Ryan Miller made 24 saves for his 350th career victory as the Vancouver Canucks beat the Colorado Avalanche 3-2. Bo Horvat also scored Monday night to help the Canuck win four straight for the first time since opening the season 4-0-0.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Missouri Gov.-elect Eric Greitens is standing firm on his decision to not support state funding for stadiums, including the proposed $200 million soccer stadium in downtown St. Louis. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Greitens said this week he has “completely ruled out” state funding. That makes it unlikely that a request for the soccer stadium project will be granted.
