The Viking boys’ basketball team picked up their third win of the season Friday night in Corbett where they downed the Cardinal 57-40. The Lady Cardinals came out on top in the opening game of the night, defeating Siuslaw 54-38.
The Oregon men continued their opening weekend domination in the Pac 12 with an 84-61 blowout of the up-to-that-point undefeated USC Trojans. Dillon Brooks continued where he left off Wednesday night with that last second game-winning-shot over UCLA by scoring a season high 28-points, going nine-for-ten from the field.
In Corvallis, Oregon State stayed with UCLA for the first 27-minutes, but ultimately fell to the Bruins 76-63. Stephen Thompson Jr. had a career high of 25 points for the Beavers.
