Huff dominates 126 pound class in Elmira

featureElmira hosts 5-way dual

Richard Huff dominated at 126 pounds yesterday in a 5-way dual meet at Elmira High School.  Huff started with a pin in 1:10 over Bryce Porter of Sweet Home.  That was followed by a 21-5 technical fall over Elmira’s Hunter Davis.  He then capped the day by pinning Theodore Coombs of Sheldon High School in 41-seconds.

Nick Steinman had a good day at 170 points, he pinned Forest Grove’s John Rasmussen in 1:30 and Mikey Montgomery of Elmira in 1:05.  His only loss of the day was a 6-8 decision to Sheldon’s Brayden Smith.

Joaquin Cervantes went two-and-two at 145; Jesus (hay-SUESS) Sierra was also tw-and-two but at 152.  Kainan Lane was one-and-one at 285… Matthew Horrillo (ho-REE-oh)  was oh-for-one, also at 285.

On the court…

Siuslaw returns to action this evening at Corbett High School just east of Portland.  The girls tip off at four… the boys at 5:30.  The game will not be on the air.

That’s because the Oregon Ducks will be hosting the undefeated USC Trojans at seven this evening.  The pregame show on KCST is at 6:30.  Oregon State will be hosting UCLA at eight… the pregame show on KCFM is at 7:30.
