LAS VEGAS (AP) — Sydney Wiese scored 25 points and No. 25 Oregon State scored the last seven points of the game to defeat UNLV 62-59 in the Play4Kay Shootout last night. The Rebels missed all five of their field goals in the last four minutes and didn’t score after a pair of free throws from Brooke Johnson at 3:27 made it 59-55.

SEATTLE (AP) — Morgan Means scored 21 points and Aaron Menzies poured in 20 more to lead Seattle past Southern Utah for an 89-75 last night. Brendan Westendorf added 13 points and William Powell and Zachary Moore had 10 apiece for Seattle (7-5). The Redhawks lost the rebounding battle 38-31 but shot 59 percent from the field to pick up their fourth-straight win.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) — A 27-year-old man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to charges connected with a snowmobile attack on two mushers competing in Alaska’s Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race in March. The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports Arnold Demoski of Nulato was sentenced yesterday to six months, most of which has already been served.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored 2:55 into overtime, lifting the Edmonton Oilers over the St. Louis Blues 3-2 last night. Nugent-Hopkins scored on a wrist shot after getting a pass from Connor McDavid. Nugent-Hopkins’ winner followed a tying third-period goal by Patrick Maroon, a St. Louis native. He made it 2-2 with a goal 5:47 into the third.
