RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas and cornerback DeShawn Shead both are likely to be out a couple weeks with hamstring strains. Coach Pete Carroll says neither has been ruled out for next Sunday’s game at Tampa Bay but also says it typically takes roughly two weeks to recover.

ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) — Clayton Custer scored 19 points as Loyola-Chicago held off a Washington State rally and beat the Cougars 88-79 at the Paradise Jam tournament. Aundre Jackson and Donte Ingram scored 17 points apiece while Milton Doyle scored 14 for the Ramblers.

CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Bogdan Bliznyuk scored 32 points and made all 8 of his free throws to help Eastern Washington get past Bryant 81-77 last night at the Legends Classic. Jacob Wiley scored 18 points and hit 10 of his 12 free throws while Cody Benzel scored 12 points.

CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Aaron Menzies scored 35 points and William Powell added 22 to help Seattle beat Louisiana-Monroe 81-75 in overtime. Menzies was 12-of-15 from the field. Travis Munnings scored 18 points with 11 rebounds for ULM.
