Mans’ repeats as XC Champion
Siuslaw Cross Country standout Celie Mans is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The senior distance runner capped her cross country career with her second straight 4A State Championship, winning the title last week in 18:55. It was Mans’ fourth trip to the state meet where she never finished lower than fourth place.
Honorable mention goes to Jack Pickell who made his third trip to the state meet. This year he was the only Viking boy in competition. Pickell was 24th overall in 17:19.
Duck Basketball:
The Oregon men were on the court at Matthew Knight Arena last night for an exhibition basketball game against Northwest Christian University. The fifth ranked Ducks came out on top 86-51.
