Athlete of the Week
Siuslaw football standout Trent Reavis is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the week. The Junior receiver and defensive end caught to passes for touchdowns, plus intercepted another for a third touchdown helping to secure Siuslaw’s first win of the season, 37-3 over the Newport Cubs. Reavis also filled in as punter and kicker… hitting one point after and sailing a 50-yard punt, pinning the Cubs on their own five yard line.
Honorable mention goes to Viking senior Nick Steinman who also intercepted a pass Friday night, returning it 69 yards for a touchdown.

On the volleyball court this evening, the Brookings-Harbor Bruins will be at Siuslaw against the Vikings; Mapleton will be at McKenzie.
