Streak extends to 12 straight
The Eugene Emeralds rallied with five runs in the seventh inning last night and came from behind for a 13-8 victory over the Indians in Spokane. The win completed a five game series sweep of the Indians… and it was Eugene’s 12th straight.
The Emeralds are at home this evening where they’ll begin a three game series against Boise.
Siuslaw Hall of Fame
Tickets will be available at the door Friday evening for the Siuslaw High School Athletic Hall of Fame induction dinner at Three Rivers Casino and Resort.
Siuslaw Athletic Director Chris Johnson says two state championship teams… the 1996 boys’ Cross Country and the 1997 boys’ Track and Field… will be inducted.
Eight individuals will be honored… Harold McClellan, Les Conley, Toni Winther Stonelake, Dick Pickett, Wayne Jackson, Danielle Wilson Glenzel, Brent Sanford and Doug Kelley.
Doors open at 5:30 Friday evening. Tickets are $20 and include dinner.
