Emeralds turn it around after mid season stumble

After dominating the first half of the Northwest League Season, the Eugene Emeralds were appearing to stumble headed into the second half.  They lost five of their first seven games and were at the bottom of the South Division standings.

Not to worry… they’ve found their footing and have won ten straight, including three over the weekend against the Spokane Indians… 1-nothing, 9-3 and 4-2.

Yesterday’s win clinched their 12th series win of the season.  They’ll face the Indians in game four of the five game series this evening in Spokane before returning home Wednesday where they’ll face the Boise Hawks.
