But, record first shutout loss of the season

The Eugene Emeralds won their fifth straight series over the weekend, taking two out of three games from the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes at PK Park.

But, they also sustained their first shutout loss of the season in last night’s series finale.

The Vols put up ten hits and came out on top 5-nothing.  Prior to that, the Emeralds picked up two wins, 7-4 and 4-3.

The Emeralds will be in Everett, Washington today where they’ll start a five game road trip against the Aqua Sox.
