Emeralds even three game series at one each

Matt Rose doubled in the top of the seventh inning to start off a four-run frame for the Emeralds on their way to a 9-7 comeback win over the Hawks in Boise Wednesday night.

The two teams combined for 25 hits total as Eugene evened the three game series at one game each.  Game three is tonight.

Olympic Trials in Eugene

For the third straight time historic Hayward Field will host the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials beginning this weekend.  Competition gets underway Friday and continues over the next two weeks.  More than 11-hundred athletes will be competing and the event is expected to draw thousands of visitors.  This will be the sixth time Eugene has hosted the Trials.
