Emeralds shut out Hops in Hillsboro opener

The Eugene Emeralds limited the Hillsboro Hops to just three hits and a total of four baserunners in a six-run shutout win last night at Ron Tonkin Field.  The win was the third of the young season for the Emeralds on just one loss… the two teams meet again tonight in game two of the three game series in Hillsboro.

Father’s Day Victory in Newberg for Siuslaw SB

Siuslaw’s 18B Fast Pitch Summer Softball team won the Father’s Day Classic high school division Bronze Tournament in Newberg over the weekend.  The team, made up primarily of members of the Viking Varsity softball squad, is coached by Sean and Jodi O’Mara.
