Fehmel the only Pac-12 Freshman on NCBWA list

Oregon State right handed pitcher Bryce Fehmel (FEM-mull) is the only Pac-12 freshman to pick up All American honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.  It’s his second freshman All-American honor, following his inclusion by Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball.  Fehmel tied the nation’s lead in victories among freshmen with ten.

Two of his teammates made the All-Pac-12 Academic squad.  Beaver Outfielder Jack Anderson and right handed pitcher Jake Thompson lead a contingent of 11 student-athletes who have been named to either the first, second, or honorable mention teams.  In order to be eligible for the list, the student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or significant contributor.  Thompson, a 2013 Siuslaw High School graduate is a finance major.  He carries a 3.70 GPA.
