Senior outfielder singled out

Viking softball standout Hannah Bartlett is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week.  The senior left-fielder led Siuslaw defensively and offensively in a two game sweep of the Brookings-Harbor Bruins.  She went 3-for-3 at the plate with 3 runs scored, 3 singles and four walks; making it on base each of the eight times she went to the plate.  Bartlett also contributed four put outs in left field.

Honorable mention is given to junior athlete Annmarie Precht who jumped to number-3 on the all-time top-ten list at Siuslaw for the long jump.  Precht went 17’ ½” to win the Varsity Division of that event at the 35-team Grants Pass Rotary Invitational.
