The Clippers’ Chris Paul broke a finger in his right hand midway through the third quarter. Al-Faroug Aminu scored a career-high 30 points while CJ McCollum added 19 for the Blazers. Game 5 is Wednesday at Los Angeles.

SEATTLE (AP) — Taijuan Walker struck out 11 over 7 innings as the Seattle Mariners downed the Houston Astros 3-2 last night. The Mariners got their 8th win in their last 11. Leonys Martin and Kyle Seager hit solo home runs in the victory.

SEATTLE (AP) — The Seattle Mariners have put reliever Joaquin Benoit on the 15-day disabled list because of inflammation in his right shoulder. Benoit has been the Mariners’ main 8th inning reliever this season. The Mariners recalled right-hander Mayckol Guaipe (MAY’-kuhl GWY’-peh) from Triple-A Tacoma to take Benoit’s roster spot.

BOSTON (AP) — Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has lost his crown atop the NFL’s merchandising list, to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. The NFL players’ association says Brady regained the top spot on its list of sales for licensed products sold both online and in traditional retail outlets. Wilson held the top spot for two sales quarterss.
