EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Eugene police say an exotic primate that was reported stolen from a pet store was allegedly used by the store’s co-owner to pay a prostitute. Police say Zany Zoo Pets reported that the store was burglarized in early March and that money and a Galago primate named Gooey were taken.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A Multnomah County grand jury has indicted a 34-year-old man on animal abuse and theft charges after a dog was found dead in a stolen car earlier this month. Portland Police says 34-year-old Francisco Gonzalez is to be arraigned Monday in Multnomah County Court.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland residents have received fake “Voters’ Pamphlet Guides” that criticize incumbent House Speaker Tina Kotek. KATU-TV reports that the pamphlets, which have only been delivered to people living in Oregon’s District 44 in North Portland, look legitimate but clearly favor Oregon House candidate Sharon Nasset.

COOS BAY, Ore. (AP) — An attorney running in District 15’s Circuit Court judge race is applying for reinstatement to the Oregon State Bar after he was suspended for failing to respond to an investigation into his alleged misconduct. The World reports that Attorney Rick Inokuchi, who was suspended April 18, responded to the bar’s disciplinary counsel’s office in a letter issued last week.
