Oregon women end their run in WNIT

South Dakota ended the Oregon women’s basketball season last night with an 88-54 domination of the Lady Ducks in one semi-final of the WNIT.  The Coyotes did it in Oregon style, hitting on 15 of 21 shots from beyond the three-point line.  Oregon ended the season with a 24-11 record, just one win short of the school record.

South Dakota will play either Michigan or Florida Gulf Coast Saturday afternoon in Vermillion, South Dakota in the WNIT final.

On the prep schedule today…

Viking Baseball will be in Sutherlin at 4:30 against the Bulldogs.   While the Lady Bulldogs will be in Florence, also at 4:30, for softball.

The Sailors will host several Mountain West League schools on the Track this afternoon at Mapleton High School.

College baseball:

Oregon Baseball is on the diamond today in South Bend for a non-conference game against Notre Dame.  The Ducks will head to East Lansing tomorrow where they’ll start a three game series against Michigan State.
