Sophomore one point short of career night

Oregon’s Lexi Bando scored 34 points and the Ducks beat Utah 73-63 last night at Matthew Knight Arena to advance to the “elite eight” of the Women’s NIT.  The Oregon women will face the winner of tonight’s TCU-UTEP game this weekend.

Men dribble with the Blue Devils

Meanwhile, the Ducks dance with Duke tonight in the NCAA Men’s Sweet Sixteen.  Airtime from Anaheim, California is at 6:30 on KCST… tipoff at seven.

Oregon State does the dance with DePaul tomorrow night in Dallas in the women’s NCAA Sweet 16.

On the college baseball diamond…

Oregon is in Seattle where they’ll take on the Washington Huskies for the first of three games.  The Beavers are in the Bay Area where they’ll face the Cal Bears.  That game will be on KCFM with the pregame show set for 6:30.

Softball

#4 Oregon will host Stanford today in the premiere game of the University’s new home for softball.  First pitch at Jane Sanders Field is at six p.m.

Prep softball today between Siuslaw and Cottage Grove has been cancelled.
