Second run at Siuslaw baseball opener scheduled today
The Siuslaw Vikings could open their 2016 baseball season this afternoon… weather and field conditions permitting. The Viking nine are scheduled to host Sweet Home at 4:30 in non-league play. If they do get the game in… it will air on Coast Radio Sports with the pregame show at 4:15.
Girls’ 4×400 relay to run in exhibition
The first-ever IAAF Indoor Track and Field Championships to be held on American soil will be this weekend in Portland at the Oregon Convention Center. There will be a Siuslaw presence on the track when the Viking girls 4-by-400 relay team will compete in a special exhibition race against other prep teams from around Oregon. As of earlier this week, the team is scheduled to consist of Mikaela Siegel, Ann Marie Precht, Destinie Tatum and Morgan Bingham. The Siuslaw girls are scheduled to run Saturday evening at 6:10 PM.
