Oregon #1 Seed in the West

featureOregon State invited to NCAAs for first time since 1990

The Oregon Ducks are the number one seed in the West in the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament.  That ranking came after Oregon swept the table at the Pac-12 Men’s tournament.  The Ducks held on for a 95-89 win over Arizona Friday night; then cruised to an 88-57 win Saturday over Utah.

Oregon will open the NCAA tournament Friday in Spokane against either Holy Cross or Southern.

Oregon State picked up their first invitation to the tournament for the first time since 1990.  The Beavers are a number seven seed; they’ll face VCU Friday morning in Oklahoma City.

Both teams open Pac-12 play this weekend… Oregon at home against Utah; Oregon State in Corvallis against Arizona State.
