The redshirt sophomore had gone 6 2/3 innings, striking out seven and giving up only five hits. Oregon State went on for a 14-nothing victory over Kansas State. The Beavers had two more victories over the weekend… both of them over the Kansas Jayhawks, 9-3 and 3-1.

The Oregon Diamond Ducks suffered their first loss of the season, falling 3-2 Saturday afternoon to Illinois State. That was bookended by two wins over the Redbirds, 4-2 Friday and 3-1 Sunday. The Ducks are now 6-1 on the season.
