Viking junior tabbed for Far West performance
Siuslaw wrestling standout Kainan Lane is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the week. Lane won the 285 pound title at last week’s Far West meet at South Umpqua High School. Honorable mention goes to wrestler Andrew Tupua. He won the 152 pound championship at the same meet, then went on to win third place at the Cottage Grove Invitational.
On the hardwood tonight…
The Siuslaw Vikings will take on the top rated team in the boys 4A ranks tonight at Marshfield High School in Coos Bay. They’ll do that right after the girls tip off at six… the pregame show on Coast Radio Sports is at 5:45.
The Sailors will host the Lowell Devils at Mapleton High School tonight… the girls at 5:30; followed by the boys.
