WASHINGTON (AP) – Led by the potent backcourt combo of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum, the Portland Trail Blazers rebounded from their worst loss of the season by pulling away to beat an ineffective John Wall and the Washington Wizards 108-98 yesterday. McCollum scored 25 points, including six 3s, and Lillard had 16 as Portland moved on from a 25-point loss to the Philadelphia 76ers in impressive fashion. Meyers Leonard added 18 points off the bench for the Blazers, who have won four of their past five. The Trail Blazers held Wall to nine points on 4-of-17 shooting.

CLEVELAND (AP) – Stephen Curry scored 35 points in three quarters, Andre Iguodala added 20 and the Golden State Warriors returned to the floor where they won the NBA championship last season and embarrassed the Cleveland Cavaliers 132-98 last night. The Warriors built a 30-point lead in the first half and bounced back from a shocking loss in Detroit over the weekend by winning their fifth straight over Cleveland.

UNDATED (AP) – Oregon State has suspended Jarmal Reid at least four games for tripping a referee during Sunday night’s loss at Utah. Coach Wayne Tinkle says Reid’s conduct over the next two weeks will determine if additional discipline will be taken. Reid also issued a statement apologizing for his actions.

UNDATED (AP) – The Vancouver Canucks are heading to Madison Square Garden to face off against the New York Rangers tonight. The Canucks are coming off a two-game winning streak. The Rangers are coming off a 5-2 loss against the Washington Capitals.
