Siuslaw Cagers Host Coquille
The Siuslaw Vikings open the prep basketball season at home this evening with an OSAA Endowment game against the Coquille Red Devils. The girls tip off at six, the boys right after. Both games will air on Coast Radio Sports beginning at 5:45.
An endowment game means gate proceeds go to the Oregon School Activities Association. It also means ticket prices will be $6 for adults… $4 for students… with no passes allowed.
The Vikings will head to Phoenix, Oregon tomorrow afternoon where both teams till take on the Pirates.
The Mapleton Sailor Varsity will host the Brookings-Harbor JV tomorrow afternoon in Mapleton.
Grapplers get underway
Prep wrestling gets underway tomorrow. Coach Neil Wartnik and the Siuslaw Vikings will be at Cascade High School for the Perry Burlison meet.
College basketball tonight…
Oregon is in Las Vegas where they’ll take on UNLV at eight. Because of the Siuslaw basketball broadcast, the Ducks will air on KCFM, 104.1 beginning at 7:30.
Oregon State is on the court tomorrow afternoon against the Wolf Pack of Nevada… airtime on KCFM is at 12:30; tipoff at one.
