TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) – Gabe York scored a career-high 23 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead four Arizona players in double figures and the No. 12 Wildcats pulled away in the second half to beat Boise State 88-76 last night. James Webb scored a career-best 27 for the Broncos.

EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) – In women’s college basketball, Nia Coffee scored 16 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead No. 20 Northwestern to a 72-36 win over Idaho State last night. Idaho State shot 27 percent, making just 1 of 15 shots from behind the arc, committed 23 turnovers and was out-rebounded 53-37.

MIAMI (AP) – CenturyLink Field in Seattle is among the 10 venues for the 2016 Copa America Centenario. Organizers opted for bigger NFL stadiums instead of MLS stadiums available in some cities. Most venues will host at least three games. The cities and venues for the opening game and the final were not announced.

MOUNT BAKER, Wash. (AP) – Washington state’s ski season is underway with Mt. Baker Ski Area’s opening. Many ski areas in Washington usually don’t open until Thanksgiving or later. But recent storms have brought fresh powder to the region. Mt. Baker says it has a good base to start the season.
