Oregon State and Rice on the court in Houston
Oregon State Basketball is on the road to Houston this evening where they’ll take on the Rice Owls. It’s the fourth meeting ever of the two teams. The first was in 1956, which the Owls won. Oregon State won the next two, in 1977 and again then last season in head coach Wayne Tinkle’s premier game.
Tonight’s pregame show on KCFM is at 5:30… tipoff is at six.
PTA/SABC fitness Saturday
The Siuslaw Athletic Boosters Civil War Fitness Challenge walk and run is set for Saturday morning at Siuslaw Middle School. Pre-registration for the three kilometer fun walk and five-K run are available at Coastal Fitness or Siuslaw Elementary. Race day registration is from 7:30 to 8:30 with fun dashes for the kids starting a few minutes later. The three-and-five-Ks start at nine. The race will precede the PTA Fall Fitness Fair that begins at ten at the middle school.
