SEATTLE (AP) — The Seattle Sounders broke their own Major League Soccer attendance record on Sunday. The match with Real Salt Lake was played in front of 55,435 fans at CenturyLink Field. That breaks the previous league attendance record of 44,038, also set by the Sounders in 2013.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Orlando is beginning its new era in the National Women’s Soccer League by acquiring one of the sport’s top players. The expansion Orlando Pride announced that it has traded for Portland Thorns and U.S. women’s national team star Alex Morgan. Morgan’s husband, Servando Carrasco, plays for Major League Soccer’s Orlando City.

IRVING, Texas (AP) — Dallas coach Jason Garrett says defensive end Greg Hardy won’t be disciplined for a sideline tirade that included a physical confrontation with special teams coach Rich Bisaccia after New York’s decisive kickoff return for a touchdown. The Cowboys (2-4) face Seattle on Sunday with their first four-game losing streak under Garrett.

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho football program says star wide receiver Dezmon Epps has been suspended indefinitely after being accused of hitting his girlfriend. Coach Paul Petrino says there will be a full investigation into the allegation before a decision is made on Epps’ future with the team. Petrino added that he has zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior toward women.
