Far West District meet at noon today
Viking Cross Country will run the Far West District course this afternoon at Tugman State Park in Lakeside. The girls have won 12 consecutive district titles and have a good chance at winning their 13th led by Junior Celie Mans and Senior Morgan Bingham.
The boys have placed either first or second for the last 14 seasons, leading to that many state meet appearances. Coach Chris Johnson said they’ll have to run with plenty of passion today in order to make their 15th straight trip to state.
Mt. West volleyball playoffs begin
Sailor volleyball is on the court this evening in Mapleton where they’ll host the Alsea Wolverines in a Mountain West League playoff. The winner advances to the league tournament Saturday at Mohawk High School.
