Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports:
Siuslaw cross country standout Celie Mans is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the week. The junior distance runner won the individual victory at Saturday’s Paul Marriman Invitational in Philomath with a time of 18:39; pacing the Lady Vikings to the team championship.
Honorable Mention is given to Mapleton’s Hunter Simington who threw two touchdown passes and made 13 tackles in the Sailors’ Mountain West League loss to Falls City.
On the schedule today… Viking Volleyball will be at the Pirate Palace in Coos Bay where they’ll take on fourth ranked and undefeated Marshfield. Mapleton is at home against Alsea.
