Vikings on the road, Sailors at home
Prep volleyball tonight: The Siuslaw Vikings are in Winston where they’ll take on the Douglas Trojans in Far West League Play. South Umpqua will be at Marshfield; Brookings-Harbor is at North Bend.
In the Mountain West League, Mapleton will host the McKenzie Eagles at six.
Annual cross country meet coming to Woahink
Coming up Saturday will be the annual Woahink Invitational Cross Country meet at Honeyman State Park. Teams from all over Oregon will converge on the East Woahink Day Use Area on Canary Road. Middle school teams will start at ten, high school races will be spread between the 11 and 12 o’clock hours. Race officials say to watch for extra traffic and pedestrians on Canary Road through the area through early afternoon.
