DAMASCUS, Ore. (AP) – The Clackamas County sheriff’s office says one man is dead and another is wounded after a mobile home park shooting in Damascus last night. Deputies said they found two men shot at the River View Mobile Home Park around 6 p.m. after reports of shots being fired. Investigators said the men knew each other and each fired their handguns at the other. Their names were not released.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – An Oregon State University student is suing a Eugene property management company after she fell from a third-story window while asleep. The Register-Guard reports that Shelbi Macholz’s lawsuit seeks $230,000 from Principle Property management to cover her medical expenses and other damages. She says the company should have warned tenants of the fully opening third-story windows and that they neglected to install window bars.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A woman who says she had to be taken to the emergency room after a Fred Meyer pharmacy employee in Portland gave her the wrong prescription has filed a lawsuit. The Oregonian reports that Anna Bell filed a lawsuit last week seeking $680,000 from the chain. She says she went to the store for the fertility drug clomiphene but instead was given a different medication with a similarly spelled name.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Following the misdemeanor arrest of two homeless people in Portland for using an outdoor power outlet to charge their phones, Salvation Army workers have set up a cellphone charging station. The Oregonian reports that the Salvation Army Female Emergency Shelter now has has five USB ports and four electrical outlets available for any homeless woman who wants to walk in and charge anything.
