Crushers end Sandblasters season
The Three Rivers Sandblasters wrapped up the season over the weekend, losing two out of three games against the Canyon Crushers. Saturday, the Crushers won it in the bottom of the ninth inning in Stayton with a walkoff RBI single for the 8-7 final.
The Sandblasters won the opener of a double-header in Florence yesterday, taking 11 innings to come out on top 3-2,. The Crushers bounced back for a 4-3 7-inning when in the nightcap.
Three Rivers ended the season with a 4-11 league record in last place. They were 11-and-17 over all.
Ems close out Hops series with a loss… split weekend games with Canadians
The Hillsboro Hops downed the Eugene Emeralds Friday night 2-nothing in Eugene to claim victory in a three game Northwest League series.
The Emeralds then headed to Vancouver where they split a pair of weekend games against the Canadians. Eugene came out on top 4-3 in Saturday’s contest, then fell 16-5 yesterday.
The two teams continue their five game series this evening in Vancouver with game three.
