UNDATED (AP) – The Seattle Mariners travel to the Bronx to face off against the New York Yankees today in Yankee Stadium. The Mariners are coming off a 10-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. The Yankees are coming off an 8-6 victory against their rival Boston Red Sox.

UNDATED (AP) – The Seattle Sounders are hosting the Colorado Rapids at CenturyLink Field tomorrow night. The Sounders are coming off a 1-0 loss to the Chicago Fire.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Shortstop Everth Cabrera has signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants. General manager Bobby Evans says Cabrera is scheduled to join San Francisco’s Arizona rookie league team initially then move on to Triple-A Sacramento when ready. The 28-year-old Cabrera appeared in 29 games for Baltimore this season, batting .208 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs before his release last month.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Angel McCoughtry scored 22 points, Aneika Henry made the go-ahead basket with 29 seconds left and Atlanta beat the Los Angeles Sparks 76-72 yesterday for the Dream’s second road win. Henry’s putback of a McCoughtry miss gave Atlanta a 74-72 lead – the Dream’s first lead since it was 48-47. Los Angeles’ Jantel Lavender missed a long jumper with 2.7 seconds left and McCoughtry made two free throws to seal it.
