Moore, former Beaver and North Eugene grad, is perfect in three innings

Former Oregon State pitcher Andrew Moore made his major league debut yesterday in Everett, Washington, helping to lead the Aqua Sox to an 8-4 win over the Eugene Emeralds. Moore wasn’t credited with the win, but he faced the first nine batters of the game in three innings, striking out five and allowing no hits.

The Emeralds open up at home tonight at PK Park in Eugene where they’ll host the Boise Hawks.

Sandblasters return to Zone III action

The Three Rivers Sandblasters are on the road and on the radio today. The ‘blasters will be in Corvallis against Gerding Builders at three this afternoon. The pregame show on KCST is at 2:45. A double header featuring both teams is scheduled for tomorrow in Florence.
