ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) – Carlos Perez capped his major league debut with a game-ending homer in the ninth, and the Los Angeles Angels snapped their four-game skid with a 5-4 victory over the Seattle Mariners last night. Erick Aybar and Johnny Giavotella delivered RBI singles off Danny Farquhar to tie it in the eighth for the Angels, who had blown a one-run lead earlier in the eighth.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – Ryan Vogelsong threw seven innings of three-hit ball, Joe Panik homered and the San Francisco Giants won their fifth consecutive game by beating the San Diego Padres 6-0 last night. Brandon Crawford had three hits and drove in a run for the Giants, who won their eighth straight at home and are a game over .500 (14-13) for the first time since April 10.

UNDATED (AP) – The Seattle Sounders will travel to Ohio to face off against the Columbus Crew on Saturday. The Sounders are coming off a 3-1 victory against the New York City Football Club.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – An Anchorage teen is facing a three-year sentence instead of the decade possible in exchange for pleading guilty to driving under the influence last summer and killing popular local cyclist Jeff Dusenbury. The Alaska Dispatch News reports the defense and prosecutors said in court that they agreed to a possible three-year sentence for 17-year-old Alexandra Ellis, with two years suspended.
