UMATILLA, Ore. (AP) – A group of agricultural operators who farm near the Columbia River have sued the federal government over an irrigation water contract. BEND, Ore. (AP) – As competitive high school forestry declines statewide, instructor Rex Cowther brought students from eight schools together Saturday to immerse themselves in the industry. PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Twenty-eight college-bound Oregonians have won full-ride Gates Millennium Scholarships to college. The Oregonian reports low-income minority students from high schools across the state are going to be able to attend college and graduate school for free thanks to the scholarship program supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
