Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

PHOENIX (AP) – Khris Davis and Luis Jimenez hit grand slams and the Milwaukee Brewers had another big offensive day in a 15-1 win over a Seattle Mariners split-squad yesterday. Scooter Gennett and Jonathan Lucroy each had three of Milwaukee’s 22 hits and Matt Clark, Jean Segura and Logan Shafer had two each. Seattle starter Roenis Elias allowed eight hits and six earned runs in three-plus innings and didn’t retire a batter until Milwaukee led 4-0.

PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) – Felix Hernandez pitched two-hit ball for six innings in his longest outing of the spring yesterday as a split squad of Seattle Mariners lost to the Kansas City Royals 3-0. Hernandez, the ace who led the AL with a 2.14 ERA last season, gave up one run. He struck out four and walked none. Hernandez retired the side in order in four of his six innings.

HOUSTON (AP) – UCLA lost just once at home this season and it was Gonzaga that dished out that defeat. To say that 87-74 loss in December is serving as extra motivation for the Bruins (21-13) as they prepare for a rematch against the second-seeded Bulldogs (34-2) in the NCAA Sweet 16 today might be an understatement. Gonzaga coach Mark Few knows the Bruins will be looking for revenge for that loss and that they are dangerous despite being a No. 11 seed.
