Here is the latest Oregon news from The Associated Press

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Oregon authorities say the computer glitch that caused thousands of reports on prison inmates’ release to be sent out erroneously to crime victims has been fixed. Officials say the victim notification system known as VINE will likely be working again today.

WOODBURN, Ore. (AP) – Police in Woodburn say a woman has reported she was sexually assaulted by four men as she delivered newspapers early yesterday. The attackers were described as being in their late teens or early 20s, wearing dark-colored clothing. The woman was treated at a hospital for what police described as minor injuries.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Police in Salem say a commercial truck rolled over on a curve, spilling two flatbed trailers loaded with lumber and temporarily blocking traffic. Police identified the driver as Douglas Barnes of Amity. Birr says the driver was not hurt. Investigators say excessive speed appears to have been a major factor.

BEND, Ore. (AP) – Seven years after he disappeared, a 10-year-old cat named Brave has made it back to spend his last days with his family in Bend, thanks to a microchip. KTVZ-TV reports that through a microchip, Mark Reinecke soon claimed his cat at the Bend shelter but it was a bittersweet reunion. An exam and ultrasound showed a large abdominal mass that is most likely cancerous.
