Pac-12 tournament gets underway in Vegas

The men’s Pac-12 basketball tournament gets underway today in Las Vegas with four games… the third in that lineup will be #7 seed Oregon State and #10 seed Colorado at six. Airtime on KCFM is at 5:30. The winner of that game will face number two seed Oregon tomorrow at six.

On the diamond…

Christian Donahue and Trevor Morrison each posted three hits and Michael Howard drove in three runs as Oregon State notched its tenth straight win with a 12-3 victory over Portland yesterday in Corvallis. The win pushed the Beavers to 14-3 on the year and marked coach Pat Casey’s 900th victory. The Beavers head to Phoenix this weekend where they’ll take on Arizona State in the opening series of conference play.

The San Francisco Dons downed the Ducks yesterday at PK Park, 4-1. It was Oregon’s first home loss of the season. The Ducks were unable to generate any offense, managing just four hits on the day. They also struck out 14 times. The two teams will meet again this afternoon at PK Park. Oregon, at 13-3, will open the Pac-12 season on the road Friday against Cal.
