VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) – Matt Nieto had two goals and an assist in leading the San Jose Sharks to a 6-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks last night. Chris Tierney, Melker Karlsson, Logan Couture and Marc-Edouard Vlasic also scored for San Jose, which was coming off a 4-0 home win Monday against Montreal. The Sharks have won seven straight in Vancouver, including the postseason.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) – The Washington state Department of Labor and Industries says a 34-year-old man accused of faking on-the-job injuries and using the last names of Seattle Seahawks players to obtain prescription drugs has been charged with 12 felony counts. Jeffory Mock Jr. of Spokane Valley will be arraigned today.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) – Jameis Winston is meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are considering the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback for the first pick in the NFL draft. The team confirmed the former Florida State star was in town to sit down with club officials who will be involved in deciding whether to draft Winston. Marcus Mariota, the 2014 Heisman winner from Oregon, also is under consideration.

SAN BRUNO, Calif. (AP) – West Coast Conference champion No. 7 Gonzaga swept the league’s four major individual awards yesterday. Senior point guard Kevin Pangos was named WCC player of the year. Pangos averaged 11.6 points, 5 assists and 2.1 3-pointers per game. His backcourt mate, Gary Bell Jr., was named defensive player of the year. Junior forward Kyle Wiltjer, a transfer from Kentucky, was named newcomer of the year.
